MANA of Imperial Valley announced the availability of the Imperial Valley Chapter College and
University Scholarship for Latina high school graduates last month. The application postmark deadline for the scholarship
was Monday June 30th, 2008. Scholarship amounts are for a minimum of $500.00.
Applications can be downloaded from this page or picked up at local high school counseling centers.
The 2008 MANA Scholarship is available to Latina high school graduates who meet the following
requirements:
- have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
- have plans to enroll full-time in a degree seeking program at a two or four yar U.S. accredited
institution during the 2008-2009 academic year
- have community service/school activities involvement and all candidates must have demonstrated
leadership and civic/community involvement.
